Feedrates and spindle speeds are one of the critical areas in the machining process. The feedrates and spindle speeds have a big influence on the following:
- Reducing machining time
- Increasing productivity
- Reducing scrap and secondary finishing
- Optimised tool selection
- Increased tool life
- Reduced overall part cost
There are guidlines for speeds and feeds available from the tooling catalogue (page 44), these are only guidlines and should be used in cutter trials on your material.
