We can apply our instrumentation to almost any industry to acquire and evaluate almost any relevant variable of movement and position.

Mike Newman and the Speed of Sight team established a working relationship with Datron back in 2003. Mike contacted Mark Hargreaves to see if Datron could help out with the measurement of a world record attempt for a blind person driving over a measured mile as Datron are Guinness accredited.
Datron's experience of vehicle testing helped as Mike raced to be the world record holder acheiving an average speed of 144.7 mph in a Jaguar XJ-R.
Datron then became a sponsor of the team and we worked closely together to acheive another record in partnership with BMW UK. The team were kindly given the use of a de-restricted M5 which was tested at Elvington a couple of days prior to the record attempt. Mike then smashed his record by acheiving an average of 178.5 mph, all of which was filmed by 5th Gear
The team is now working with the Keating car company who have prepared the Keating SKR supercar especially for Mike. Since we have been preparing to extend the record Metin Sentirk has broken Mike's record in Turkey using a Ferrari 430. Metin has extended the world record to 182.03mph which has increased Mikes desire to win it back !
The Speed Of Sight team would like to thank Datron for it's extensive help to date and look forward to future record attempts.

"2D's data logging system offers fantastic value for money for both myself and my clients; measuring everything that I need it to do, it has a tremendous ease of use being required to simply bolt it on to the motor vehicle and begin logging. I have no hesitation in endorsing the product to my clients and would recommend it to all requiring the service
